As we find ourselves viewing the decline in the popularity of risk, we can only try to instill a renewed vigor for the game.  Those who play regularly, hopefully find themselves improving with every game, and with more people playing, improvements will be made even more often.  If we are to establish at sometime an international tournament, we need to be able to chart this improvement.  Enters Devastation Risk International Rankings...
       DRIR  has multiple advantages.  Players from all over can compete with each other from their hometown with this system.  With this ranking system, a tournament in the future will be much easier.  Rivalries will hopefully have emerged.  I think that with a fair ranking system, more people will be playing more often, and hopefully more people will be introduced to the game.  Competition is healthy, and this competition will hopefully propel the game of Risk.
